Sharing October’s results and news with you:
🧡 Set a new record by hosting 10 tea gatherings for lonely elderly individuals across various corners of Ukraine, spreading warmth and comfort in Kremenchuk, Poltava, Opishnya, Yavoriv, Dnipro, and Kyiv.
🧡 Conducted packaging and distribution of food kits with World Bank employees, including the Ukrainian office director.
🧡 Launched our first informational advocacy campaign to draw attention to the plight of elderly people in our country, addressing various challenges they face daily in Ukraine and suggesting actions everyone can take to improve different situations.
🧡 Transparency is our core value, so we underwent another financial audit throughout October.
🧡 Alina Dyachenko, the advocacy lead at Starenki, participated in a roundtable at the Ombudsman’s Secretariat (Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine), discussing the lives of the elderly in geriatric institutions and ensuring their rights. Alina also contributed to a working meeting on developing training for elderly care facility staff.
🧡 Actively engaged students in relevant fields as volunteers to assist lonely elderly individuals in Poltava.
Now, onto expressions of gratitude:
