Our tea gathering for the elderly in Poltava turned out to be truly special! Starenki organized a tea event for seniors in the picturesque botanical garden of Poltava National Pedagogical University. Here, the elderly from the Poltava region shared stories about life, sang songs, and sincerely thanked everyone for the warm welcome.
This tea gathering was unique, surrounded by exotic plants. The seniors expressed a desire for seeds to plant in their own gardens, so that a piece of the botanical garden and this gathering would always be nearby.
Volunteers treated the elderly to sweets, and the elderly reciprocated by offering treats to the volunteers. One of the most touching moments was when a grandfather took a sip of apple-flavored water and couldn’t hold back his tears.
The seniors from the Poltava region were grateful to everyone involved in organizing this celebration for them. These incredible moments spent together are important.
