“Charity motivates us to move on.” Businessman Mykyta Butenko about the importance of doing charity work.

Mykyta Butenko is the owner of the logistics company A1 Logistics, who with his team donates monthly to the administration of our fundation. We decided to talk to Mykyta and interviewed him a little to find out about his motivation to help.

Mykyta, please tell us a little about yourself and your company

My name is Mykyta Butenko. I am from the city of Zaporizhzhia. I started doing business at the age of 20. While still living in Zaporizhzhia, I built a logistics company. We are engaged in the transportation of goods on the territory of the USA. Our offices are located in every major city of Ukraine.  Currently, our staff consists of about 250 people.

Mykyta, you donate to our fund every month. Please tell us why you chose to donate specifically for fundation administration?

I run my own business. Aid specifically for the administration of the fundation is clearer to me. In fact, it is possible to do charity work without any product, because the product can be obtained for free. But it is quite difficult to find someone who will get this product for free.

Why do you think it is important to help?

My company had difficult periods when we understood that it was necessary to cut some expenses. I saw the expenses for charity, but I understood one thing: if we cut this item of expenses, then why are we here at all, as they say.  I understood that if we cut funds for charity, then it would mean that I myself do not believe that we as a company will survive tomorrow. It turns out that charity motivates us to move on.  We don’t want to lose that feeling.

Do you think it is important to talk openly about your desire and possibility to help?

It always seemed to me that charity should be done silently. During the war, my company showed me exactly the opposite. It is necessary to talk about the fact that you are helping. This activates the desire to help other people. Probably, outside the war, it will be normal to engage in charity in silence, but not now. I even trace it to the example of my company. It is important to send information about our charity work to the team chat. In this way, a lot of people feel involved in this story, and that’s great. We are grateful for what you do. You are doing a great job for the elderly!

We are sincerely grateful to Mykyta for the assistance provided in the administration of our fundation. Thanks to his help, we can continue to develop and fulfill our mission. Considering the growth of the fundation, we will be glad if even more responsible business and private donors join in supporting the development of our fundation  Together we can do more!
